The Canadian GP weekend proved to be an exciting one in terms of the Lap League as the league leader, Nico Rosberg, failed to pick up any points. Because Michael Schumacher also failed to score this meant that while Sauber picked up another strong points haul, their main rivals Mercedes failed to do so and therefore the gap increased. They now have a comfortable 45 point lead after seven rounds. Once again there were no new additions to the league as both Marussia and both HRT drivers are yet to score.
The Big Movers
Lewis Hamilton is the biggest mover of the week as he rises five places in the league to 12th place. He picked up his biggest points haul of the season so far by scoring 18 points, second only to Kimi Räikkönen who also had his best weekend to date. Romain Grosjean jumped three places in the league thanks to picking up 15 points making it a highly successful weekend for Lotus.
Jean-Eric Vergne lost out the most in the league by dropping three places while Daniel Ricciardo, Sebastian Vettel and Felipe Massa all dropped two. League leader Nico Rosberg failed to score but had enough points to maintain the lead, although it stands at just eight points now with Sergio Perez gaining on the German.
Ferrari, Lotus and McLaren gained a place apiece while Williams, Red Bull and Force India dropped.
