The H Duct Lap League

The H Duct Lap League

Welcome to The H Duct Lap League, an alternative championship just for fun. It has nothing to do with who finishes where so anything can happen. This page is the main hub of the league, however, starting at the Monaco GP you will be able to keep up race-by-race with individual posts. So, without further ado, let’s explain the league.

How does it work?

Since the start of the season I have been making a note of the number of laps individual drivers and then teams complete over the course of the weekend. I use the official Formula One website in order to tally the number of laps after each session and add these all together to get an overall total. So, total number of laps from practice, qualifying AND the race are added together. The same thing happens with the teams. Then the top ten drivers who completed the most laps will receive points, as per the regular F1 championship, so:

25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1

This happens after every race and also includes test/reserve drivers who run in Friday Practice sessions.
