Ahead of the Isle of Man TT this coming fortnight a number of riders were in action at Billown for the Pre-TT classic. The event was held across Saturday and Sunday.
Mike Hose won the 350cc Singles race, beating Mark Herbertson and Bill Swallow. Elsewhere it was 87 year old Ted Fenwick who won the 250cc class, ahead of Rod Graham and Henry Bell. Fenwick is a four time winner at the Pre-TT Classic and he was 18 seconds clear of Graham in the race. In the first Sidecar race of the meeting the partnership of Eddy Wright and Kieran Clark were victorious. They were joined on the podium by Rod Bellas & Dean Kilkenny, and Wally Saunders & Bob Dowty.
Ewan Hamilton was victorious in the 250cc Lightweight race ahead of Adrian Harrison and Hose. The Support race – a mix of 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, & 600cc bikes – was won by Mick Moreton ahead of Dave Cooper and Stuart Noon. The Senior Classic was won by Jamie Coward who beat Alan Oversby and Steven Elliott. Hose beat Oversby and Coward to victory in the Junior Classic race. After Paul Coward led for most of the 850cc race but then retired it was Oversby on the top step of the podium, ahead of Coward and Peter Boast.
The Superbike (up to 350cc) race was won by James Cowton who was well clear of Tom Snow and Brian Mateer. Coward won the Superbike race ahead of Steve Mercer and Tim Poole.
