Romain Grosjean 2 3 8
Esteban Gutierrez 1 4 8

This will be the first race held at the new Azerbaijan street circuit in Baku. This means there is no previous real data available to teams, with choices based on simulations. Most teams have favoured the Supersoft tyre – the softest compound of the three – with Sauber’s Felipe Nasr being the only driver with an even split between Soft and Supersoft compounds.

No driver has chosen to bring more than one set of the Medium compound tyre as degradation is expected to be low.
